Overview
‘Ayurvedic and Holistic Vacations Tour’ is well designed itinerary which give you the chance to explore the some of the stunning locations of the region along with that you will also enjoy the Ayurveda and spa treatments, which will give you the complete relaxation and it will help you to rejuvenate your mind and body. Kerala is one of the most beautiful state in Southern part of India on the Malabar Coast which blessed with unique geographical features that have made it one of the most sought after tourist destinations in India. The state is blessed with natural beauty in the form of beaches, mountain ranges, wildlife, backwaters and lush green areas offer a breath taking view. A part from this Kerala is also one of the most popular place for Ayurveda and spa treatments. The region offers a calm and soothing environment which makes it as a haven for nature, the refreshing climate of the region, revive your body and mind. The duration of the package is 11 nights and 12 days, covering the cities such as Cochin, Alleppey, Kumarakom and Purnagram.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Cochin (Kochi) Sightseeing
Upon arrive in Cochin airport, meet our representative, after welcome, and proceed to the hotel.
Kochi is one of the most important city of Kerala which is also known as Cochin Located on the south-west coast in Kerala which is also known as the Gateway to Kerala, situated on the Arabian Sea. Kochi is one of the most beautiful city of the state of Kerala. Rest day is free at leisure, you may explore the major market area where you can shop for excusive quality of nuts, spices and handicrafts. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Cochin Sightseeing
Today after having breakfast, embark for the city tour. During the city tour you will visit some of the most tourist attractions of Cochin. Visit Jewish Synagogue which was constructed in 1568.
Then visit St. Francis Church which was constructed in 1503. This church was built on the place where Vasco da Gama (the explorer) was buried, it is the oldest European cathedral in India.
Later visit the Dutch Palace, it is also known as Mattancherry Palace. . In 1557 the church of the palace was constructed by Portuguese, later it was passed to the Dutch during the pre-British period. A temple is also located in the courtyard. The major highlights of the palace is on the murals walls of the rooms of palace. Also explore the Chinese nets too.
In the evening, enjoy the Kathakali dance performance. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3: Cochin-Alleppey (By Road-54 kilometres)-Houseboat
Today after having an early breakfast, drive to Alleppey. It is one of the oldest planned city of the kerala, located about 75 kilometres away from Kochi and about 155 kilometres from Trivandrum. It is famous for backwaters.
Upon arrival, check in to the houseboat. Rest day is free at leisure, enjoying the beautiful serene backdrop. Dinner and night stay on the houseboat.
In the morning, take a road journey to Alleppey. Upon arrival, board an exotic ride on the houseboats and enjoy the picturesque scenery as the houseboat passes by. Enjoy delectable delicacies on board the houseboat. Stay overnight on board the houseboat.
Day 4: Houseboat-Kumarakom Sightseeing
After breakfast, the houseboat proceed to Kumarakom, then reach Coconut Lagoon in Kumarakom. Which is the known as the world’s top 10 heritage resort. Kumarakom is the one of the most popular tourist destination in Kerala. It is renowned for backwater, located on the Vembanad Lake, which is the largest lake of fresh water. The backwater fishing village is indeed a haven, and has had its attractions advertised by some stunning top end resorts by the side of Vembanad Lake.
Upon arrival check in to the in the traditional Kerala style built hotel. Rest day is free at leisure, you may explore the stunning surroundings of Kumarakom. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5: Kumarakom(Excursion Tour)
After breakfast, proceed for Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Protected by a thick cluster of mangroves, the bird sanctuary spread across 14 acres and home to over 180 species of birds. It is best to visit on foot by one and half kilometres on walking trek, where you are likely to spot heron, darters, water duck, waterfowl, owl, cuckoo and Siberian cranes. It is one of the most popular tourist attraction of the town.
After visiting at the sanctuary, return back to the hotel. Overnight stay in Kumarakom.
Day 6: Kumarakom-Purnagram(By Road-100 kilometres)
After breakfast, proceed to Purunagram, which is a Holistic Village located in Ernakulam, on the banks sacred river Purna.
On reaching Purnagram, check-in to the Cottage/Resort. Enjoy your stay in the atmosphere of the health resort which enhanced by a natural healing environment. During the stay at Purnagram, you will enjoy the traditional Ayurveda and Yoga therapies. Rest day is free at leisure. Overnight stay at resort.
Day 7-11: Purnagram
After having delicious and healthy breakfast. Rest day is free at leisure, enjoy the various Ayurveda treatments, take relaxing massage and do some meditation and yoga in the peaceful surroundings of the holistic health village. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 12: Purnagram-Cochin (By Road-22 Kilometres)
